Homeless Boston woman healed, delivered, fed, and set free by Jesus!

Homeless Boston woman healed

This is the story of the homeless Boston lady by the name of Jewel who encountered the Love of Jesus. it’s a bit long, but worth the read I think. Sometimes ministering on the streets can get a bit messy but God is good all the time and love never fails šŸ™‚

A few of us who gather together each weekend, had come up out of the Boston MBTA subway at the Boston Common specifically to lay hands on the sick. When we first arrived, 11 year-old Jacob who has been hungry to see his faith grow, had healed a guy on the sidewalk with an infection and pain in his ankle, then we crossed the street over to the Boston Common. Laury (my awesome wife) had just given a sleeping alcoholic her shirt to lay his head on, then she and my friend Garth prayed over him to be delivered from alcohol addiction, for he had said that he wanted/needed a drink. Afterward, he said he did not need a drink anymore.

Meanwhile, 11 year-old Jacob had pointed out to me a woman asleep on the grass a little distance away, saying she needed prayer. If I’m honest, my “flesh” thought this might get messy and hesitated for a second, but how could I refuse at the prompting of an 11 year-old boy? So I went over to the woman, and Garth followed a minute or so later and joined me. As it turned out, the woman was contemplating suicide (she had attempted suicide twice before), and was very thankful that we woke her up, because she had concluded that nobody cared about her anymore. In fact, before she went to sleep, she had prayed earnestly that God would send someone to her. She said that earlier in the day a man approached her and said that he would give her something to eat if she performed a certain act, but of course she refused.

Seeing that we were Christians, she pulled out a ragged paperback Bible to show us that she believed in God, and thanked God that we had come to encourage her. At this point, we had made her day just by showing her that someone cared about her. She was not expecting all that God was going to do for her through us, however God had another plan!

Initially, she began pouring out her story of difficulty as a young girl abused, repeatedly insisting that we not interrupt her, and to let her finish, because she “had to get it out.” When she was a child, she was placed in unspeakable situations to support someone’s drug addiction. She explained that her desire was to honor her mother, but she had to get away from that home to avoid the circumstances and stay safe, but felt she had dishonored her mom in a way. So she moved away and this had tormented her for years. Recently she came to Boston to bury her mother, for her mother had died and she sincerely wanted to honor her mother. Now she was homeless.

Worse than that, she said that two days before she had been in a wheelchair, and could still hardly walk. She had had seizures, but could not afford the anti-seizure medicine, so the homeless shelters had refused her, not being willing to deal with such a situation. She was oppressed to the point of bondage and mental anguish to all this, and still was not even of sound mind at this point. She would have ranted on and probably ask us for money to pay for those medications.

After she had vented a bit after maybe 20 minutes, we got control of the conversation, and when I asked her what her pain level was, on a scale of 0 – 10, she said “100.” Garth and I both began speaking life over her, and as the pain went down, she began to calm down. We continued to the point that she said that it was “much better,” and told her to stand up, which she did not think she could do. But she did (on her own), and we prayed over her some more as she became more and more coherent. She became so grateful for this progress that she said that this was enough, and began thanking God, but we insisted that all the pain had to go.

At this point after a few minutes, she was communicating perfectly normally and of sound mind.

She said that she was hungry, that she had not eaten all day long, so we asked her what she wanted, and she gave us an order for a double cheeseburger, onion rings, and soda. But at this point she could walk well enough that she said she would come with us, and began to pack her bag with her belongings.

But first, she wanted to know why we had come to her like this in her time of need. What prompted us? I said it was 11 year-old Jacob. She was surprised that it was a boy, and praised God for him, wanting to meet him. Garth pointed him out to her and beckoned him to come. He was lying on the ground with my two boys over him, and did not come. We found out that he had just fell and badly hurt his knee. He could not get up.

At this point we told her that he had just been injured, but that she should come lay her hand on him and it would be healed, just like what had just been done to her. We all walked over to him and and Garth told her to command that his knee be healed, in Jesus’ name. That is just what she did. She put her hand on his knee, spoke healing to him, the pain instantly left his knee, and he got up.

We all proceeded to the nearby Burger King, got the food for her, and some for the three boys (Garth’s two and Jacob). The four of them sat at a small table and ate and talked, while the rest of us encountered a number of other people at the fairly crowded Burger King who needed healing, all of whom left pain-free, including one older woman with a cane who had Arthritis, fibroid-myalagia, and four young ladies in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZQwkB5HNP8

At one point we looked and saw Jacob hand her one, two, three five dollar bills out of his pocket – that was his entire spending allowance for the day and he gave it all to Jewel!

We asked Jewell about her pain level one more time while she was at Burger King and she said she had a pain level of 2/10. It immediately went to zero and she was completely pain free. Her face was almost shining, so full of joy and peace by the time we left, you would not know she was the same woman who, one hour earlier, had a face that was twisted by thoughts of suicide, tormented by pain, and darkened by despair.

It is at that point that we got some video footage of her in the Burger King. The video ends with her breaking out in a song of praise for Jesus, walking through the crowded Burger King singing a beautiful melody, and when finished almost everyone in the place was clapping for her!

It was a really good day watching lives transformed in the name of Jesus! Yay God- thank you Jesus!

Who was this man called Jesus?

Who was this man called Jesus?

“DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME”

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ā€œThis is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.ā€ In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, ā€œThis cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you. Luke 22:19 & 20

That was the scene in the upper room just a few days before He rose from the grave on Easter, when Jesus invited the apostles to remember Him, to explain that His body was to be given for them, and to predict how His blood would be poured out for the new covenant ā€¦He said “do this in remembrance of me”, knowing He would be leaving them soon.

Websterā€™s dictionary gives us a definition of Remembrance as: ā€œan act of recalling to mind or ā€“ a memory of a person, thing, or eventā€

Most of us have lost a friend or loved one in our lives and we inevitably recall an event that reminds us of that personā€¦”in remembrance of them”. Generally, at that time we remember a couple things that may have defined that personā€™s lifeā€¦sometimes good or sometimes bad.

Some friends past we remember by their virtuesā€¦ā€he was a generous manā€ā€¦.ā€she was so kindā€ā€¦ā€that guy was a saintā€ā€¦ā€she was so patientā€ā€¦ or perhaps some are remembered by not so saintly virtues like ā€œwhat a cheatā€ā€¦ā€he was a bumā€ ā€¦ā€she was cold heartedā€ā€¦. Others we might remember by a hobby they enjoyedā€¦ā€he was a bikerā€, ā€œshe was a great dancerā€, ā€œhe was a fishermanā€ā€¦and many we remember by professionā€¦a salesmanā€¦a policemanā€¦a surgeonā€¦a nurseā€¦ a pastor

So which traits should we remember of Jesusā€¦ when he said; ā€œDo this in remembrance of meā€?

I decided to make a list of the things the gospel of John had to say about who Jesus was, which is by the way only one book of 66 books that are woven together as the Bible describing Jesus as the Messiah.

These are some of the common words the Apostle John used to describe Jesus:

The son of Mary, the son of Joseph of Nazareth, cousin of John the Baptist, a brother, a good friend, a carpenter, one from the family of David, Teacher, Rabbi, the good shepherd, and a man full of love. And those common terms are where it would end for most of us if we were being remembered after our death.

But when remembering Jesus, John wrote many other words while inspired by the Holy Spirit to describe Jesus – it’s a list like none before or ever since – these descriptions are the ones that make Jesus different than any other person in the history of humanity. These reveal the one true Messiah:

The one who could change water to wine, the Holy one from God, The one who could restore sight to the blind, The one who has shown us what God is like, the Profit, The Son of man, The bread that came down from heaven, The Holy One, The word that became human and lived among us, The light of the world, Protector from the evil one, The King of Israel, The one hated for no reason, The Way, The Truth, The Life, Godā€™s Bread, The one who came down from heaven and gives life to the world, The healer, The one who raised his friend Lazarus from the dead, The forgiver of Adultery, The one who judges for the Father, The one who fed 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish, The Messiah, The one who harvests believers, The master, the one Samaritans called ā€œSavior of the worldā€, The true vine, Godā€™s only Son, Lamb of God, the One who washes feet and cleans menā€™s souls, The one the Father gave power over everything, The word, The one sent by the Father to save the world, King of the Jews, The tortured one, The one crucified that others might live, the one whose bones were not broken, the one who defeated death, the risen one, and As the apostle Thomas called him, ā€œMy Lord & My Godā€

No one, in the history of mankind can be remembered like thatā€¦not one person has ever come close to these descriptionsā€¦no one, ever ā€“ no other religious leader can make such claims. That is why the Christian religion is like no other religion in the world. There is only one Son of God, and one way to our father in heaven, and that is through Jesus Christ alone and He proved it through thousands of miracles, signs, wonders, and prophecies that predicted these events hundreds of years in advance.

So if you thinking right now, ā€œIā€™d like to learn more about this fascinating man they called Jesus, or maybe you wish you could have been there to hang out with a guy like thatā€¦well, I have great news to shareā€¦..Jesus was all those things over 2000 years ago, and He is still all those things for you and I today, because He is eternal and He gave each person a way to know Himself intimately by accepting His free gift of salvation.

If you donā€™t know Jesus yet, know this, he loves you and wantā€™s to be those things for you, and the best friend you will ever have!ā€¦He cares and loves you so much that he gave up his own life to save yours! If you havenā€™t been introduced, donā€™t hesitate to ask me about how you can be adopted into the eternal family of God, receive forgiveness, and the gift of Godā€™s spirit living inside of you. ā€¦ there’s still some really good tickets left to meet with Him! Donā€™t miss out, your eternal future is at hand šŸ™‚

God Bless you,

Hearing Restored: 3 Remove Hearing Aids in NH!

Luke 7:22
So He replied to them, Go and tell John what you have seen and heard: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the good news (the Gospel) preached to them.

As Christians and children of God, that is also our great privilege to grow in faith, believe, and do the same works (and greater) of Jesus just as He proclaimed. Our team has been consistently stepping out seeing greater and greater miracles. Two years ago the miracles were sporadic for me personally but we just kept pressing in for more, and today we are seeing regular miracles weekly.

Last month (Jan 2015), we met a man in a mall on New Years Eve. We asked if he had pain but he said no – however I knew something wasn’t right. So I said, there is something you are not telling us. He said, “I have been waiting a long time for my miracle.” “Oh yah”, I said “what’s that?” He said he was born deaf in his left ear. I said, “Oh, that’s an easy one, let us pray” (I’m not sure why I was so confident since I had only seen us pray for one other person who got hearing back!) But one quick command/blessing and he got 50% of his hearing back, 3 more quick blessings and it all came back! Jesus is Lord!

If that wasn’t enough, we asked him if he ever heard of the baptism of the Holy Spirit? – he had not, but he asked us to pray for it after explaining the benefits and he received it, and it was evidenced by the gift of tongues. He received his private prayer language of tongues, right in the mall! You can’t make this stuff up..people are getting set free from sickness and bondage everywhere we go! The baptism of the Holy Spirit is becoming a regular occurrence on the streets, in malls, and in homes as we step out in faith, God is pouring out His Spirit in these days, in many such ways….and there’s nothing special about us, such gifts of faith are for all of us, I promise! Just believe! …the Kingdom of Heaven truly is near!

Well, that raised our faith so much that 3 weeks later my wife Laury and I prayed for one women with double hearing aids in Walmart who got all her hearing back (she happened to be a lovely Nun full of life), and then two hours later we met a sweet elderly couple 91 years old. The man’s knees got healed, and as they were walking away we noticed they had hearing aids in both ears. We ran back over to them and prayed for the man first and he got all his hearing back and was astonished and grateful. Then his wife asked if we could pray for her ears and as her hearing become significantly better, and her sweet husband was so moved that his eyes filed with tears of joy. What a beautiful couple we encountered who were married for 70 years, full of love for each other and full of light! And what a privilege to follow Jesus and see such joy when someone gets healed by Him.

I believe this is the Christian life we are called to live, full of signs and wonders! Week after week we now see dozens of backs, hips, knees, feet, stomachs, shoulders, wrists, and arms healed and we are so delighted, but we also expect to see greater. We expect cancer, MS, MD, lung disease, heart disease, CP, Autism, and any other so called incurable diseases to bow down to the name of Jesus. It’s already starting to happen and getting stronger…. don’t miss the call. Step out in faith and simply start believing in what Jesus did, believe in what He said we would do, believe in what He accomplished for us, then proclaim it and the miracles will follow. Don’t give up, don’t give in, and don’t be discouraged – keep at it and signs will follow those who believe – that’s a promise from God Himself.

Friends I believe that Faith is rising in the body, and God wants us “all in”! So come on and ride the wave….just step out and pray for someone today and watch Jesus meet you in the middle!

Bones healed by prayer miracle Documented Chronic Sickness Healed Internal Physical Healing Miracle Healing Salvation Scott Levesque The Last Reformation Tumors reduced or disappear

3 Days of Non-Stop Healing Testimonies from NH

Check out how the Spirit of God is being poured out in NH in three days 12/13 to 12/15. This is the normal Christian life if we will just believe!

We’ve been hitting the streets every Saturday since Torben Sondergaard’s visit to NH/MA in July. The number of healing experiences and salvations has been amazing and grows each week in power. So many testimonies we often don’t post most of them, but here are a few from just what my wife Laury and I witnessed this past weekend. Others on the team saw similar healing as we often move separately as “mini-pods” with unique testimonies flooding the places we visit. This actually only some of what we experienced over 7hrs on ONE Saturday! One other note worth mentioning, in the past 6 weeks we’ve seen athiests, agnostics, Muslims, and Budhists all healed in the name of Jesus! Jesus is Lord….Yay God šŸ™‚

At the feeding center Saturday we prayed for Women with back/sciatic pain and with a tumor on her back-all pain left and after three prayers the tumor disappeared. Then she received Jesus as Lord and we asked for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, ….she got hosed and she said she felt happy.

Two women in anguish got prayed for and wept after being touched by the love of God . They got filled with the peace of Jesus.

Another mans pain went down to zero in his knees after prayer and he had far greater movement afterwards. So many people have been healed at the feeding center these past 5 weeks that each week we see less and less sick people to pray for (yay!)….they are all getting healed in the name of Jesus. One day, I know we’ll be hitting hospitals in every city and doing the same!

Later at lunch I got a word that a 55 year old man’s knee was in pain from a sports injury after High School – He was a bit freaked out that we knew that and only let us briefly pray once, but he felt relief!

Later in Walmart we saw a woman’s foot completely healed, four different women with various back pain/sciatic issues healed, three women with hip pain healed, three women with canes and knee pain healed, one man with hip and knee pain healed, I got a word of knowledge about arthritis with a sweet older women in her back – two prayers and she went from a pain level of 8 to zero and was healed, a women in a scooter with polio felt all the pain leave her back and legs after three prayers, and a sweet 92 year old women who had stomach pain got healed and was so moved that she wept and and praised God for healing her and thanked us several times with great joy in her face (she got hit hard by the presence of God). It was precious and beautiful!

On Sunday we prayed for a man with a bad knee at a local church and his knee got healed. Then at mom’s nursing home we prayed for an ankle injury on a kitchen worker who got healed, and then we prayed for a 92 Y/O women (patient) with a broken tailbone who’s pain went to zero- she also had arthritis in her hands with pain unable to move them. All pain left after 3-4 prayers and she had total movement and said they felt very hot! Jesus! Amazingly we’ve been praying for a chance to raise the dead and the night ended with God giving us a chance to pray to raise someone who died while at the nursing home while we were still there. We had faith she would rise and layed hands on her since she was in the bed beside mom’s, but I believe she was already in heaven and wouldn’t come back (hey I can’t blame her!)…I believe we’ll see the dead raised here soon enough because Jesus said so….next one!

Then, last night at mom’s nursing home a nurses attendant got healed of oppressive fatigue, and calf cramps and then an LNA got healed of sciatic pain and hip degenerative pain. We are starting to see more and more staff members (and patients) healed at the nursing home! Jesus is alive and well in NH!

…all creation anxiously awaited for what is being revealed today – Just Believe!

Knee Healed – Woman walks away perfectly without her cane!

Woman’s Knee Healed Scheduled for Replacement!

This was a fun testimony to experience at the Topsfield fair in MA. Laury and I approached this woman in pain and asked why she needed the cane as she was sitting on a bench. She explained that she had 2 bad knees and that she recently had one kneed replaced and was scheduled for an appointment on Tuesday to discuss replacing the other knee.

We asked her if we could pray explaining all the pain would go away and that we recently prayed for another knee that was totally healed also scheduled for replacement. She agreed – She said she was in a lot of pain at a level 8 on a scale of 1-10 before prayer. We both layed hands on her knee, prayed in the name of Jesus and the pain went down to about a 4, then one more quick prayer and all the pain left. We told her to stand up and test it. She was so shocked (I love seeing that part!) and kept insisting it felt totally healed, we kept saying “we know”! It was so much fun to see the hope restored in her eyes.

We spent a bit more time ministering to her and her daughter and prayed over both to bless them. She walked away perfectly without a cane and without a limp and said she no longer felt like she had “bone on bone” and was so very happy šŸ™‚ I believe she got a new knee from God that night!knee healed

Why so much hype about healing?

Shoulder healed in Manhattan with Torben Sondergaard

Did Jesus have compassion and restore limbs- yes. Did he set people free from the oppression of sickness- yes. Did He come to set the captives free and heal the brokenhearted-yes. Did he do all these miracles just for the sake of the miracles-heck NO!

He did it so people would come to know God is real, know that He loves us, and know that He desires a deeper, daily fellowship with each of us through knowing His Son.

So when we go out and heal the sick, it’s not just because we have compassion and want to see people get healed, but the end game should always be to try and share the good news of the Gospel, bringing their hearts to a place of true repentance so they may see their need for a savior, get set free, and come to know Christ. It’s really simple.

It’s through this tool of healing, that many may come to know the saving grace of our Lord and as a result desire fellowship with their very creator. This is the very model Jesus and the first century church used- and it was so powerful that many were added to the body daily.

Our hope is that anyone who encounters God through healing may be so touched that they may be willing to follow Christ and find freedom in Him. That they may learn to lay down their lives for the sake of Love and to live the abundant life God intended for each of us.

Our ultimate goal in healing and sharing the good news is that each one we touch may desire more freedom and come to know the full eternal life found only in Him, repent, be baptized in water as a new creation in Christ, be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and then go out with the same demonstration of God’s power and do the same for others.

If we follow Jesus, then our call is the same as the first disciples and it’s the model for us to follow as an example of how the kingdom is ever expanding.

I don’t know about you but I’m so excited and can’t wait to see how God leads this movement with a true demonstration of Gods power in the coming days/months/years, though us, His disciples!

Is anyone else out there excited? šŸ˜‰

Luke 9; Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick

(In this video, Torben SĆøndergaard spent another 15 minutes intimately talking with this young man, praying with him, and leading him to a deeper desire to know and walk with Jesus. The young man seemed really hungry to know God and was visibly excited when Torben left his card to learn more through his website teachings – we can all do this!)

Healing on the streets of Manhattan NY

Healing in Manhattan NY with Torben Sondergaard

Check out my wild personal testimonies from NY
Scott Levesque 7/29/2014
Last week we were on the streets of Manhattan healing the sick and sharing the good news of the Gospel. Torben was on a skateboarders kick and prayed for 4-5 different groups of young men boarding on the sidewalks. In each meeting, all injuries were healed but more important, each experienced a powerful touch from the Holy Spirit and were visibly changed after prayer. Some were ready to go deeper hearing about God, while others just continued on their way. It was really encouraging to see first hand how this all works and cool to watch it in action!Manhattan PoliceAs we stood waiting outside a gift shop while his family was shopping. I got a sense that one of the policemen near us on the street had back problems. I mentioned it to Torben and sternly he said “you go pray for him”! Since I was with a world class evangelist, in the most famous city on the planet, looking at policemen in full uniform, I was really really nervous to go pray for him, to say the least. My heart was pounding but then he moved quite a ways down the street so I thought the moment passed. But as God would have it, within 3 minutes, he came back, came off the street and stood 15 feet away from me on the sidewalk. Yikes, now my heart was really pounding!

At that very moment, I actually remembered the scripture Torben acted out in class last week about the lamb being sent out into a world surrounded by wolves. While thinking about it, I could hear Jesus saying “fear not for I am with you!”….so I went over and started talking with him.

After a minute of chat, I asked if he had any back pain and he said his neck was hurting as it did daily. I asked if he would let me pray, and he said yes, then I asked if I could lay my hand on his neck and he said absolutely and then Jesus showed up completely healed him. The expression of healing was seen in his face as he smiled really big and said “I’m not going to lie to you, my neck feels really good right now!” Think about that for a moment, I’m in one of the most dangerous cities in the world, with some of the toughest cops on the planet, and through compassion, I’m able to lay hands on a fully weaponized policeman!! Surely you can’t make this stuff up!

He was so amazed that he called another policeman from nearby to give testimony. He said something like “Hey Tony, check this out – my neck just got healed, don’t you have a bad back? Let this guy pray for you…” Tony says “yes, my lower back always has pain.” Can I pray? Yes, Can I lay my hand on your back? Yes! I think he actually had a brace on… So I prayed for him and the expression on his face was just as priceless when Jesus healed the first guy- his mouth was wide open in disbelief! It was awesome!!

Then he said his neck was also in a lot of pain- when asked he said the pain was at a 6 on a scale to 10. One ten second prayer in the name of Jesus and the pain went down to a one. A second prayer and it was completely gone – again, seeing his expression of amazement was so encouraging. I think I stepped out in faith that night further than ever before and Jesus met me in the gap. Just as He promised, He was with me in a place surrounded by wolves! It all ended with giving Jesus the glory while first policeman asked me for my phone number in case he needed prayer in the future. I gave it to him along with Torben’s website. What a memory I’ll never forget of faith being built while surrounded by fear! lol

Two of Manhattans finest policemen in full uniform, on the job, healed on the streets getting set free from pain, getting touched by God, and bringing glory to our Lord.Surely the Kingdom is near…. You can’t make this stuff up- it’s the disciples life intended for all of us!!

Setting Captives Free by Scott Levesque

Setting Captives Free
By Scott L

For those of us who are believers, Jesus has called us to ā€œbe a light in the worldā€, to set the captives free, and to go out as He did to defeat the works of the devil.

Today I share these two testimonies (below) to bring glory to the name of Jesus because His word says if we fear not, we shall overcome the enemy and set captives free!
ā€œAnd they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. (Revelation 12:11)ā€ May each of us grow into a greater revelation of such a divine purpose for our livesā€™.

Supporting Scriptures:

ā€œNor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.ā€ ( Matthew 5:15-16) ā€œThe Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed, (Isaiah 61:1 & Luke 4:18)

ā€œā€¦ God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.ā€ (ACTS 10:38)

“I am going to send you to the Gentiles, to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.” ( ACTS 26:18 )
—-

For two Fridays in a row, I was thrust into the darkest places which I can only describe as ā€œstanding in the enemy camp among the fires of hellā€.

In both cases, the people involved we literally led out of the captivity of darkness (by the Holy Spirit), into the saving light of Jesus Christ. In both cases, the light of heaven overtook darkness and revealed the love of God to men who had become deceived and stuck in darkness. The Bible says ā€œyet while they were still sinners, God so loved the world he sent His sonā€. This scripture reveals the very nature of God’s love forĀ  the world but I also believe it is a message for us as followers as well. Since we are His sonā€™s and daughters, we are called to affect the same world by sharing the good news of His love for them, and in doing so use the truth found in Jesus’ finished work to set captives free from oppression, the affects of sin. It sounds complicated but is actually pretty simple if we reduce it all to revealing God’s truth in love.

First testimony:.

In this story, I was at a place of business where I openly shared the love of Jesus several months back with the company vice president, planting seeds of hope for a man clearly tormented by lifeā€™s circumstances. Although the gentleman was raised as a Catholic, and attending church, he was living a life oppressed by the difficulties most of us have experienced at times in life. His faith and church attendance did not seem to have him walking in the true joy of his salvation, a place most people don’t believe is possible to experience while we are afflicted. The truth is, we can experience such joy in our walk as demonstrated by Paul himself who was singing while chained in prison, when we are truly set free with truth.

My friend at the time was open and appreciative when I shared the truth of Godā€™s love for him, and helped him understand just how to walk in such ways that he had never heard or experienced before. I tried to explain that much of the turmoil he was experiencing was common for all of us in life, but that the turmoil doesn’t have to rob our peace. Scripture says we will all experience tribulation – we don;t have to look far to know we are in the middle of a war for souls here on earth, and often we each can face significant difficulties at times.

One of our greatest misunderstandings as believers, is that we often allow such difficulties to define our relationship with God. What we often fail to perceive is that such difficulties are only the enemy trying to separate us from the love of Jesus, and take our eyes off God and off our true destiny. The devil actually uses tribulation in life as “an intentional distraction”, knowing most believers will simply become so crushed much by the weight of difficulties, we’ll take our eyes off God and try to exist by our own means. Once the enemy gets us isolated that place, isolated and filled with self pity, we then will often come to a place where in misunderstand the source of trouble, and we begin to curse God for allowing such events to take place. The devil is simply a con artist who knows how to subtly twist truths in life to turn our hearts from God. Repentance in it’s purest form, is simply learning how to “turn our hearts” back to God when face with such deceptions in life. This is why Jesus said, “For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”.

I simply shared some these words of life and encouragement of the Gospel with my friend and told him ā€œdonā€™t buy the lie, itā€™s the enemy trying to keep you from Godā€!Ā  He got it, and seemed to be touched and understood the truth in my words….at that time, he looked like a light went off in his head and he then profusely thanked me for taking the time to shed some light on his troubles. I believe he experienced his first taste of the freedom of Jesus’ message for us, similar to a captive being set free from bondage.

Fast forward four months, and this same gentleman recognizing truth in what I shared in the fall, now asked me if I would pray for him for some of his recent struggles. We went into a private location, and he began to share with me how he was now recognizing the voice of the enemy trying to deceive him with turmoil and feelings of offense, especially regarding his wife, yet he couldnā€™t seem to stop the voices and feelings. He said he felt so tormented, angry, and depressed over the past several months, and felt somewhat stuck in it all. But he also mentioned that through each tribulation, he could hear my voice reminding him that the enemy was simply at work trying to deceive him from truth, and keep him from God,Ā  in the middle all of the chaos. For anyone to get this part, is actually really good progress and the first step to getting set free from the negative affects of difficulties in life.

As out time continued, my friend shared the difficult details with me how his addiction to pornography had led him into such a dark emotional place, that he asked his wife to participate in unthinkable acts. His mind had become so deceived by the lusts of pornography, that it entered his marriage like a cancer ready to kill. Through pornography, his marriage clearly became ensnared by the enemy, which led to even greater acts of sin and darkness, which also led the marriage to a very darkĀ  place. We should never forget, the job description of the devil is to ā€œkill, steal, and destroyā€, and if we donā€™t guard our hearts and become deceived by the lusts of the flesh and the world, we lose our focus on God and then provide ā€œthe footholdā€ for the enemy to deceive usā€¦..and he (the destroyer) will happily oblige to step up to the task. Scripture says it’s the goodness of God that leads a man to repentance. When men truly begin to lay hold of this truth, and see just how good life can be walking closer to God, then sin no longer has the same allure, and these same men who were actively sinning, begin to walk a more pure life with greater joy. It is true freedom in life.

I have to admit, just listening to the story was a shock to me as I was seeing and smelling the horrible affects of darkness within a man so deceived by sin that he was completely ensnared, and broken to the point of losing his marriage. I live a really simple life these days, far from the influences of the world, fiercely protecting my heart from such worldly lusts, and I had forgotten just how harsh the world can be when living a deceived life, following the ways of this world that many folks believe to be harmless. I am so thankful that there is another way we can live, free from bondage, rooted and grounded in the life of Jesus, rooted and grounded in peace and love, overflowing with joy. I am so thankful I have been restored!

Well, the end of the story is that I simply spent about 45 minutes ā€œloving the lostā€ and “ministering truth” bringing light into the dark places of deception deep within his misunderstandings. I simply took time to help him see clearly and separated darkness from light in his life. I shared what Jesus taught about ā€œlove keeping no account of wrongsā€, and how if he was truly born again, he is now a child of God, and a citizen of heaven, no longer born of the family of Adam who belong to this world. who are helpless to sin. I revealed that as a child of God, he is no longer subject to the bondage of sin nor it’s affects. Jesus died to remove the bondage of sin that this man was suffering, but no one had taken the time to tell him that fact. (dead to sin, alive to Christ Rom 6:11) Often, simply understanding that we are now new creations in Christ can set many people free who were/are stuck in bondage and believe they are still old creations of this world. Knowing our identity can often set Christians completely free! (check out my article on ā€œWas Jesus really the death of sin in my life?ā€ )

We prayed together for redemption, forgiveness, and restoration, and by faith I know God heard our prayers and the Holy Spirit will help set this man and his marriage free from sin and the bondage of offense and deception. He already shared with me that he no longer watches pornography! Where there is a will, there is a way with God!

The Bible says “the power of life and death is in the tongue”ā€¦I really understand that now that now Iā€™ve seen countless people set free in the past two years, simply through explaining truth and releasing blessings in their lives with the power of faithful prayers. When we begin speaking “Kingdom life”, truth, and Godā€™s purposes into their souls, it works in agreement with God’s desires and releases the power of the Holy Spirit to restore lives. It’s far greater than seeing the affects of positive verses negative thinking, it’s actually bringing heaven to earth!Ā  God is a God of life and a God of Love, and He has called us who are His children, to use our voices (through love) to set the captives free who do not understand the real freedom we can attain from sin, simply by knowing we are children of God, guarding our hearts, and most importantly, surrendering our thoughts, our will, and our lives to Jesus, so that He can transform us into His holy people and bring more of heaven, into a dark world.

Some need more teaching than others, but there is always hope for even the darkest situations with one solution for all, ā€¦..that answer is found in Jesus. Let’s run with our destiny, and become the face of love for a lost world!

Part 2

In the second incident, my friend Tom asked if Mike Tiso and I could stop by his neighborā€™s house after attending a spirit filled healing service earlier that night. Although we totally immersed in light from such a powerful service, as we walked into the house, I was totally shocked by the atmosphere and the events that began to unfold.

To help further set the stage, Tom had been praying for this house for four years, and he invited us over to meet them for this specific purpose (i.e. ā€œpulling the family out of the flames of deceptionā€ which had over-run their lives)ā€¦.He and Mike just forgot to mention that minor detail to me before entering the house, which felt a bit like walking into the devils playground!

YouĀ  may think that sounds naive, but Oh My Goshā€¦ the house was filled with total chaos and it looked a bit like a non-fiction horror movie playing though my eyes. Honestly, itā€™s hard to fully describe the sense of real darkness we had just stepped in to in a large home filled with six teenage boys. Hereā€™s the scene, four boys were participating in and cheering on, a ā€œstaged gladiator fightā€ between the pet black cat and two mice. They had placed all three in man-made corral, trying to entice the cat to rip apart and eat the poor mice, laughing uncontrollably at the pending death trap! While they were cheering on the fight, one other boy was completely enchanted playing a south park video on a 50ā€ screen while the sound was blaring in our ears 10 feet away. Another boy was playing some really loud drums 20 feet away, and just to round out the picture, the father was singing Karaoke tunes on some other loud speakers! Oh but wait, it wouldnā€™t be complete if I didnā€™t share that the oldest Ā boy who was a neighbor, was showing us his 8ā€ ā€œsatanic pentagramā€ that he had drawn in magic marker, on his stomach! It was total darkness!

None the less, Ā as the three of us went in (Mike, Tom, and myself) we all knew we were on assignment from God to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus, so we began to minister ā€œtruth in loveā€.

OK if Iā€™m honest, I have to admit it was a bit hard for me at first to adjust and minister in such a place of total darkness, but after seeing Mike Tiso fearlessly thrust himself into the darkness and immediately preaching the gospel to the teenage boys, I knew that game was on! I literally went out of the house, shook off the cobwebs, hit the ā€œreset buttonā€ in my head, and went back in a few minutes later with full armor God and a new sense of mission! I came to understand the burden of Tomā€™s heart for this family, who for four years was setting the stage for this night through his prayers, and I knew as a team our mission was to bring light into this home. And oh what a night began to unfoldā€¦ā€¦

Ā

First, Tom getā€™s us through the gates and makes the introductions, then Mike walks in like a fearless gladiator who instead of taking one step back like I did at first, took three steps forward and entered the lionā€™s den! Mike took on the teenage boys, while Tom took on the girlfriend, and I eventually connected with the dad. In a short time, Mike was full tilt, sharing the message of salvation with the younger boys. It was astonishing to watch Mike while fire burned within him for these young souls! Pure poetry in action!

All this was happening while the dad watched from a distance. It began inspiring me to go deeper with the father of the boys while Mike was speaking with them so during that time, I was sharing healing testimonies that rocked the dad so much he got goose bumps, so I used those testimonies (as I normally do!) to springboard into Godā€™s love and real message of freedom, helping him understand what Jesus really accomplished, verses ā€œman-made religious doctrinesā€. By now, the girlfriend had left so Tom began moving back and forth in the house, infusing his words of truth where ever any ā€œdark holesā€ appeared in the house!!

Well, eventually we all rotated among the residents in the rooms (more than once) and openly ministered the Gospel of God’s love to them from multiple angels for over two and a half hours. It was like we had become three parts of one well oiled machine, pouring out light everywhere we walked and talked! So cool!

When we began, the father of the house was clearly dying inside from such horrific happenings he shared with us that were done against him from his ex wife (who happens to be a witch). For eight years his ex and her husband have been plotting against him in wicked ways attacking him through defamation and trying to harm him in every way to ruin his life and it had been working. She even showed up one night at his front door, in her wedding dress, covered in blood. Tell me the devil doesnā€™t use deceived people for his puppets. Clearly this man had been tormented for 8 years by demonic forces trying to ruin his life.

But then, Jesus showed up in the form of three men, to help set him and his home free! We ministered truth, we broke strongholds of deception, strongholds of a broken heart, strongholds of a man tormented by the real abuses, we broke curses of a deranged ex-wife who was consuming his thoughts and his heart with bitterness, we broke chains of oppression, and we ministered the peace and love that Jesus died for on the cross, teaching him how to lay it all at down through Jesus. We prayed and prayed more, set this broken man free from torment, and released the Kingdom of heaven in his home. Many may think this to be no more than a theatrical show of good intentions, but I assure you this is all very real in Godā€™s Kingdom. By the end, his face visibly looked like the face of a new man, set free, full of hope for a new life.

It was amazing! Although this assignment wasnā€™t very tidy (in fact it was pretty stinky at some points) after two+ hours, the entire household was visibly transformed, the teenage boys seemed at peace, light pieced the darkness, and this broken man had his hope in life renewed. At the end of the night, his very words were ā€œit feels like Iā€™ve hit a new turning point tonight!ā€

Ā

Who knew God could use three unlikely men of God, completely unique, each equipped very differently for the Kingdom, ministering gifts to a household like a revolving wheel of light, yet in total unity of purpose to pull this family out of the flames of hell?

It was like walking into the enemy camp, a war zone, and setting captives/prisoners free in the spirit realm, yet it was beautifully poetic as a ballet while the spirit orchestrated every detail!

You just can’t make this stuff up when led by the spirit; following Jesus is indeed an adventure! The Bible says that ā€œsome plant, some water, but it is God who gives the increaseā€ā€¦Iā€™m believing that this house is now a reclaimed territory for Jesus, about to produce a lot of fruit for the Kingdom! Amen

What was the purpose of the Old Testament versus the New Testament?

What was the purpose of the Old Testament versus the New Testament? ….”sin was revealed and brought into the light of our consciousness, through the law of the Old Testament”

One major purpose to the laws of the Old Testament were to “reveal sin”, exposing our need for a saviorĀ  who would one day overcome the “sin of the world”.Ā  Paul explains in Romans 3:20 that we would not know we were born into sin if not for the law; “for through the law comes the knowledge of sin”. And Paul continues to explain in Romans 7:9 how the commandments ever further “amplified” our sin consciousness by saying ….”but with the coming of the commandment sin became alive”.

In other words, sin was revealed and brought into the light of our consciousness, through the law. Without the law, no one would know what a sinful state we were born into after the original fall of Adam and Eve. The “law” and our consistent inability to follow it while in our fallen state, brought to light the depth of our sinful nature found within our “old man” which every man is born into since the fall of Adam and Eve. This is why every man must be born again as a “new creation in Christ”, and “put off the old” nature.

That said, one major purpose of the New Testament was/is to reveal freedom from the law of sin for all men by God’s great plan of redemption, through His Son Jesus. In Romans 8:2 Paul explains this by saying; “for the law of life-giving spirit in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.” The apostle John sums it up nicely when captures John the Baptist’s comment in John 1:29 with; “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world”.
Jesus was the one and only person who ever fulfilled all the Judaic laws found in the Old Testament ( 613 laws ), which no man could ever fulfill. In doing so, He became the perfect substitute for us, taking on himself “the curse of the law” and all our inequities (sin). Galatians 3:13 “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us” (for it is written, ā€œCursed is everyone who hangs on a treeā€).
Because of His perfection in doing what no other man could do, we have been redeemed by the offering of His blood sacrifice, and brought back to “right standing children” of the most high God. Because of His sacrifice standing in our place while taking on God’s wrath, those who accept Christ, no longer stand as “sinners of this world”, because now that Jesus has come,Ā  the world has been forgiven! Amen! John 12:47 ……I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.” and in Matthew 9:13 Jesus said …..I desire mercy and not sacrifice.ā€™ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentanceā€.Ā  and 2 Corinthians 5:19 further expands this by saying, “that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

That is and was, the turning point between the Law of the Old Testament, and the Mercy of the New Testament and means all the sacrifices of the old testament were no longer desired by God because the law of the old testament was fulfilled through mercy and grace of the Father who sent His son. In doing so, the sacrifice of Jesus replaced the old covenant, with a better covenant, as scripture states, “once and for all” (for the very last time, for all of us).

Aren’t you glad God sent His son to free us from the law of sin and death?
God Bless you,
Scott L

Don’t be denied of God’s Amazing Love!

Let NO ONE deny you of God’s love! Listen to what His word says about people and religious doctrines that try to “add conditions” on receiving God’s Love.

Colossians 2:18
“Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement…..”Definition: self-aĀ·baseĀ·ment (slf-bsmnt)n.
1 Degradation or humiliation of oneself, especially because of feelings of guilt or inferiority.
2 voluntary self-punishment or humiliation in order to atone for some real or imagined wrongdoing.Paul gives us some important words of clarification in Colossians 2, that we should never be deceived by religious rituals or denied by false humility, “declaring ourselves unworthy”, of the glorious prize found in Christ’s free gift to us.It’s so important for us to remember that He proclaimed us worthy, by His love and the price He paid, and by not by what we offer or what we do through our works.

It’s hard for many people to accept such grace, but we are worthy because our Father in Heaven says so, and to prove it He sent His son to pay the “hostage fee” required and bring us back home. No one pays such a high price to bring “unworthy junk” home!

But a loving Father pays ANY price necessary, to find and bring home a lost son or lost daughter….and that is what He did through the cross.

Not because as sons or daughters we “proved” our worthiness, not because we might be filled with “self-abasement” (Degradation or humiliation of oneself, especially because of feelings of guilt or inferiority), and certainly not because they were practicing the “right rituals”, but because we are deeply loved lost sons and daughters of an amazing Father who wanted to take us back home to be with Him, now and forever!

We are worthy simply because we are His children, we are worthy because He created each of us in His own image and sees us as worthy, and we are worthy because of the great price He paid for us, over 2000 years ago on a cross! Remember, no one pays top price for junk…..don’t let the enemy whisper in your ear that your are worthless. Believing your are worthless is not what God thinks and it is one of the greatest lies from the pit that is used to “self-condemn” us falsely and to separate us from God.

The hurdles have been removed to receive His love and come back home!

For those who have received Christ, let no one “defraud you or disqualify you” of your rightful inheritance as precious sons and daughters of the most high God above!

….and if you have not received Christ, I encourage you to come back home and say hi to Dad and the family… we’ve been missing you! Click here to read how to get back home šŸ˜‰

God Bless

Message from Scott Levesque: What I’ve Learned About God’s Love.

I’ve Learned…..
I’ve learned God is so good if we can just remove the some of hurdles that keep us from trusting Him and knowing about His amazing love.

I’ve learned if we trust in the world, we can find ourselves lost through lies, deception, false humility, worldly thinking, false hope, strife, and condemnation….

But I’ve also learned if we trust in Him, His Love is revealed;

I’ve learned no matter how bad we’ve been or what we’ve done in the past, His grace is sufficient.
I’ve learned we can be saved by the amazing sacrifice of His son through faith.
I’ve learned we can become children of the most high God, no longer living as orphaned children of this fallen world.
I’ve learned once saved, we become spotless and clean in His sight, even if we may not “feel it” or understand how or why it’s possible.
I’ve learned that it’s how He sees us that matters most in life and not how we see ourselves or how others see us.
I’ve learned He see’s only the beauty of Christ in us, and not our faults or weaknesses.
I’ve learned He delights in us as His created children, who were made in His image.
I’ve learned His love is real and can be felt in a tangible way.
I’ve learned we are loved more deeply as His children than any other worldly form of love.
I’ve learned that through spending time with Him, His Grace can turn our heart from stone to flesh, and our heart can become His heart, and His heart our heart.
I’ve learned His love for us can become our love for others, and flow like a mighty river.
I’ve learned His Joy can become our joy, ….daily.
I’ve learned increasing days can exist with uncontainable, heavenly Joy, beyond words.
I’ve learned we can trust all His Word and all His promises, if we only dare to believe.
I’ve learned His spirit is real and lives in those who believe.
I’ve learned His spirit moved heaven and earth in the beginning, and when Jesus was born, and that Spirit is the same today as yesterday, and still moves heaven and earth today through His saints, because Jesus was the first born of many, and we are “the many” created to reveal His love.
I’ve learned faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen, and it is something we can grow into like like a sweater that was too big we got on Christmas as a child.
I’ve learned we who believe are blessed more than eyes can see.
I’ve learned an amazing eternal destiny and future awaits us.
I’ve learned there are more and more reasons to smile and give thanks every morning if we see with eternal eyes.
I’ve learned where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is great freedom, and where there is freedom, there is no bondage from sin….

I’ve learned God is so good,…. always!
I’ve learned what I’ve learned today, is just the beginning of what I can know about His Love tomorrow!

I’ve learned the Holy Spirit is my best friend, counselor, and teacher and He has taught me all I know about God, by revealing the mysteries of my great savior and King Jesus.

Oh what a God I’m learning about!
Oh what I’ve learned!
