Hearing Restored in US Army Vet in Massachusettes

Hearing restored in Vet after 15 years of total deafness in one ear!!

This is the testimony of Maurice who was awarded the “Distinguished Silver Cross” from the US Army. He is a homeless vet we met on the streets, who had suffered traumatic injuries while in combat. When we first met him, he had just heard a testimony of a man who was set free from anger when we prayed four months earlier. Maurice didn’t believe it and thought it was all nonsense. In fact, he was very discouraged and said there were no “good people” in the world and he was quite angry looking at first while we shared the love of Christ with him.

We encouraged him and shared the amazing truth about what Jesus had accomplished, and how there are many people in the world like Laury and I demonstrating the love of Christ through miracles, signs and wonders. Eventually he let us pray for his broken ankle and after speaking with him for a while, all his pain left.

Once that happened, we were able to pray for some other things and bless his future. In the end, he got so touched by the love of Jesus that he said that he really liked us and he was happy that we had stopped to talk and pray! That was a complete turn around from someone who originally said miracles were a bunch of $&@ bull!

That’s the transforming power of faith from Jesus that every believing Christian can enjoy if you are wish to be equipped, and activated to step out in faith and lay your hands on a sick person. It’s so simple any Christian can do it if you are open and willing to try!

This is Maurice’s testimony after Laury and I met him in the park and prayed for his ear! Jesus is amazing!

  1. This is what the Lord has done as he answered my prayers.

    Stand For The Lord

Recently at our little country church, we were blessed with a visiting pastor who gave us a wonderful sermon, as our pastor was on vacation. It was a soul searching message that really made us examine how we were standing up for our living Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In our everyday life do we stand strong on the solid Rock or are we living on shifting sand? Are we lukewarm Christians, Sunday only Christians, or going with the crowd Christians, and have very little faith in prayer?

The pastors message in the Bible, New Testament Book of Ephesians which was written by Apostle Paul, tells of our spiritual wealth that can be described as a Christian’s heavenly “bank account” . It includes every spiritual blessing the Lord has given His servants that have accepted Him as their personal Savior. If we repent of our sins and believe Jesus is the Son of God who died on the cross, was buried, and rose again on the third day, the Lord will take us in His loving arms and fill us with the Holy Spirit.

Let us pray often, when we begin the morning and before we make any major decision during the day, and also praise the Lord for all his blessings each evening. If we make it a daily practice to read the Bible as we try to follow in the Lord’s footsteps, we often find the Lord will shower us with blessings that maybe material, physical or spiritual to meet our needs.

As Christians we are faced daily with decisions, but if we have decided how we will walk and stand up for the Lord, the devil cannot get a foothold in our life. Let us put on the full armor of God as we read in Ephesians 6:10-11 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil .”This armor includes having the Truth, having Righteousness, having Peace, having the shield of Faith, having the helmet of Salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, the Bible.+

We read in John 3:17, ” For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved,” Every day we have opportunity to add deposits to our spiritual “bank account” and yes we also need to occasionally make withdrawals. The danger comes when we make too many withdrawals and our “bank account” account is overdrawn. This can result in discouragement and a dependence on the flesh to get by. We lose the peace that passes understanding and succumb to fear and doubting. Time with Christ and worship with the brethren will keep the account full and the spirit right with God!

Trust this Sunday, we will take the time to worship in the church of our choice and honor our living Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

    The Lord Heals

We read in the New Testament of the Bible where our gracious and loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ heals the sick many times for those that believe in Him as the Son of God. Today, the Lord still will heal us, according to His perfect will, if we put our total faith in Him and ask Him in prayer to heal us and carry our burden. Matthew 21:22. ” And all things, whatsoever, ye shall as in prayer, believing. ye shall receive.”

In this column over the years, I have recorded the healing power of our Lord with the blessings I and others have received by praying to our living Lord. Often, people do not like to mention the physical aliments they have, but when they were healed from a major difficulty the Lord should be praised.

At the age of 84 years young, I can look back over all the times the Lord has answered my prayers when I asked Him for physical healing. As a baby, I was born with a major heart murmur and not expected to live. However, the Lord answered the prayers of my parents and church family. I was somewhat restricted all during my school years and the years in the Air Force but several years ago, the doctors said the heart murmur was gone. I thanked the Lord as I now had a life full of energy and could serve Him better. Then about 12 years ago, I had three mini strokes in a 6 month period and the doctors said I would have a major stroke that would lay me up. Here again the Lord answered my prayers and have not had a stroke since that time.

When I was 79, the doctors that the Air force sent me to in town, did a prostate biopsy and found I had a dangerous stage 4 cancer, which they said was very active. I paid for my funeral and picked out a casket as the doctors scheduled my radiation and hormone treatments. After 3 days of prayers asking the Lord to help me, He said I will heal you and carry your burden. So my wife and I returned to the doctors and canceled all treatments and the doctors made comments that I would be back later and want them to help me. They said if no treatments, then we will not need to see you again. The base hospital took me back as a patient and the high PSA reading returned to normal for my age and today after several scans the cancer does not show up. I praise the Lord daily that he still heals as he did in Matthew 4:23…….and healing all manner of sickness and manner of disease among the people.”

I have been bothered with a large varicose vein on my left leg but a chicken rooster attacked me and the vein was broken and bleed. I prayed and when it healed the Lord has taken it away. This past year I was told, that tests show I am on the edge of being a diabetic, so I asked the Lord to guide and protect me, ,which he did. Recent recheck blood tests were taken and my doctor called that I was fine and now a long way from becoming a diabetic.

It is a real blessing to have Christian doctors that believe our living Lord hears our prayers and if it is the Lord’s will we will be healed. The healing may take a doctors assistance and we pray before a procedure. God’s healing may take the form of a new body, since we know this old body is destined to succumb to decay and death. For the believer, death is not the end but the beginning of a new life with Christ for all eternity. That will be glory. We pray all Christians put their total faith in the Lord when ever they face a trial or tribulation.

Trust we will take the time to attend the church of our choice this Sunday and honor and worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    God Bless America
